“A Struggle Between Rivals…” a delight, a romp, a scintillating morsel of happy horseshit.
The story thoughtfully suggests a practical use for the bagpipe, otherwise only an instrument for distressing the sassanachs.

Oh my, I could not stop laughing while reading your F&SF piece… Ahahah. The two-headed Roosevelt is pure genius.

I see you have another story forthcoming in F&SF. Is it a continuation of “A Struggle Between Rivals”? Hope so, because I really loved that one.

Thanks! Sadly, I haven’t written any sequels to “Struggle Between Rivals.” I guess Treya is finished with Beetles–not sure what she will do next.
